Our family moved from northern Virginia to River Hills in July 2014 after searching numerous neighborhoods in south Charlotte. Tired of the cookie-cutter neighborhoods, our realtor suggested visiting the River Hills mentioning it is a gated community with security – so we did.

It seems so cliché but I am going to start off with this beginning comment….. When I moved to River Hills in 1973, there was truly one stop light between Five Points and Charlotte. And while we enjoyed amenities such as the marina, golf, tennis, and the life on the lake; we didn’t have a true YMCA or an actual work out facility.
